Taylor Williams

MARCH AOM: TAYLOR WILLIAMS

Congratulation to our March Athlete of the Month, Taylor Williams! Talk about consistent! Fun fact: Taylor has checked in over 390 times in 19 months…. that is over 20 times per month! Way to go Taylor! That’s dedication! Taylor always comes in the door with a smile. While she is here, she works HARD! She may be small, but she is mighty! She does the little things by coming in early and staying late to work on mobility, accessories and skill work and it has paid off. Her positive attitude is infectious and she carries that into every workout. She puts in the work every single day, always giving 110% and leaving it all on the floor. She is always eager to be coached so she can continue to improve. She's often one of the first girls to finish, but will always stick around and cheer everyone else on. It is clear that Taylor loves being at the gym! You are such a big part of the community Taylor! We are so glad you are part of the RTCF family!

Antxon Arrizabalaga

FEBRUARY AOM: ANTXON ARRIZABALAGA

Congratulations to our February Athlete of the Month, Antxon Arrizabalaga. Last fall, Antxon came to us from the Basque Country in Spain as a Rugby player with a long athletic background but no CrossFit experience. From Day 1, he committed himself to mastering the movements and brought high energy, high enthusiasm and an extremely coachable presence to any class he’s attended. He has taken full advantage of everything Rocky Top has to offer whether it’s the daily class, Weightlifting, Elements or the overall community. After he’s done the class, often comes a second time that day to lift or work on his technique! Here are some things his coaches have to say about him…. Antxon always comes to class ready to learn something new. I've never seen him give less than 100% of his efforts to a skill he was trying to learn. He’s made a ton of friends in the few months he's been here and I'm sure they'll all miss him! Antxon always has a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He will be the first cheer someone on and congratulate them after a hard push and good effort. Antxon has quickly and easily become a friend and positive member of Rocky Top and will be missed when he leaves the end of this month.
Anybody who has been in a class with Antxon, knows Antxon. We are so glad you found us and have become a part of our family. We will
miss you when you go home!

Katie Rogers

JANUARY AOM: KATIE ROGERS

Congratulations to our January Athlete of the Month, Katie Rogers! Katie has been extremely dedicated since she started doing CrossFit at Rocky Top. She quickly brought her twin sister, Allison, to train with her. Katie comes in all times of day whenever her schedule as both a grad student and a TA allows. Her coaches say she is a super hard worker, always puts in extra time and effort to improve, is always really pleasant to be around and is very coachable. She joins a very select group as she recently achieved her first bar muscle up! Way to go Katie! All that hard work and consistency is paying off! We’re so glad you are part of the RTCF family!

Kristen Miller

DECEMBER AOM: KRISTEN MILLER

Congratulations to our December Athlete of the Month, Kristen Miller! Kristen is a busy wife and mom of three and she MAKES the time to make being consistent at the gym a priority in her life. Some days she’ll bring the kiddos in and they’ll wait for her in the children’s room and some days she and Chris will trade off so they can both make it in to workout. She is staying healthy for herself and her family and she also enters competitions for fun because she wants to challenge herself! She has the best attitude every time she come in the gym, and always has a smile! She is SO friendly and easy to talk to. She stays focused on her goals, comes early and stays late and trusts the process. She is very coachable, willing to go the extra mile and works on those more mundane tasks like mobility as another avenue to improve. If you don’t know Kristen, say Hi and introduce yourself next time you see her. Your day will be blessed because you did! Congratulations Kristen! We’re so glad you are here!

Rich Henderson

NOVEMBER AOM: RICH HENDERSON

Congratulations to our November Athlete of the Month, Rich Henderson! Rich has been with us here at RTCF for the last two years. Rich started “this crazy exercise modality” called CrossFit back in 2016 when his nutrition was unhealthy and the doctor said it was time for cholesterol medication. Rich said “no” and he took control of his health. In Rich’s own words, he is “never going back”. Good for you Rich! He says he’s “thankful to be able to pursue his fitness goals, relieve stress, feel better, and exercise with his workout fam here at Rocky Top”. Words from Rich’s coaches…He's one of the most consistent athletes we have, is always eager to be coached, and is always putting in extra work outside of class time to work on any movements he might struggle with. He's always kind and friendly and is always willing to lend a helping hand to others where he can. He’s very consistently in the gym ready to work. He always shows up on time, always in a good mood, and he strives to use proper technique and mechanics in each movement. Rich, your hard work and easy going demeanor are admired and we are so glad to have you as part of the RTCF family!
