Creating a team/family environment where everyone feels welcome and supported is above all else, rule number one.

CROSSFIT LEVEL 2, TRAINER & USA WEIGHTLIFTING LEVEL 2

 

I began coaching in 2013 and found my love for Olympic weightlifting while at the fitness specialist program in Charleston, South Carolina. My professor there, who also became my first weightlifting and CrossFit coach, is still to this day one of the most knowledgeable coaches I have ever known. I pride myself on learning through experience and movement, as well as truly caring about all the athletes that I coach.

I have coached both weightlifting and CrossFit for almost six years now, but have found some of the culture surrounding weightlifting to be a little depressing, to be honest. A “headphones in, every man or woman for themselves” type of attitude; the constant degrading of CrossFit in the weightlifting community was a big turn off. I, myself, went through that phase, but came out the other side realizing that I could embrace both weightlifting and CrossFit, loving them both equally.

I have USA Weightlifting Level 2 Coaching Certification, which includes being Safesport Certified and my Clinical Athlete Weightlifting Certification. I have attended Daniel Camargos athlete seminar in Asheville and attended the clinical athlete summit. I also have my American council of Exercise certification. 

The experience I have watching athletes movement and applying the knowledge I have gained from these certifications is by far the most valuable asset I have as a coach. I pride myself on truly caring about everyone I coach.

LEVEL 2 - ADVANCED/CLUB

YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO COME IN AND USE OUR PHENOMENAL OLYMPIC LIFTING SPACE WHILE WE ARE WORKING ON OUR PROGRAM UPDATES!

 

Anyone is welcome to use the weightlifting area at any time.  
These times are just specifically designated times to hold Level 1 classes and for Level 2 to have designated programmed times to workout together if they choose to.
